1119 is our house espresso blend, launched in November 2019. Roasted specifically with espresso in mind, it's sweet, rich and smooth and scored very well in blind tasting, competing well with our single origin coffees.

1119 is grown by Ronald Zalazar, the Pereira family and members of the Santa Cruz cooperative. When it lands in the UK it's expertly roasted by Elizabeth at our roasting partner Chimney Fire Coffee in Surrey.
What grind size should you go for? Roasted with espresso in mind, we would recommend you go for a fine grind or you can order whole beans if you grind your own. It can also be enjoyed made with a cafetière, for which coarse grind usually works best. For most other methods, medium grind is a good bet.
